What’s the story?

The source of the craic

Dungeons and Naggins began around 2017 as a party game for my friend’s birthday, Sharpie wanted to play DnD but we hadn’t played before and didn’t have the books so I watched some YouTube videos and made it up.

We built in drinking game rules and I worked hard to make it fun and accessible for new players (everyone). We had so much craic!

Our group kept playing those games and I started the podcast, introducing Irish comedians to the game. Then there were live shows, notably sold-out Dublin Fringe 2019 and Electric Picnic 2022. The live show recordings became the main source of the podcast, where the crowd gets involved in the craic too.

See the Digital Art Book and Photo Album for more behind-the-scenes stuff.
